Six families were displaced early Wednesday when a three-alarm blaze raced through an apartment complex on the west side of Irving, according to reports.
The fire was reported at 3:25 a.m. in the 4100 block of Pleasant Run Road.
The neighborhood is southwest of the intersection of Walnut Hill Lane and Pleasant Run, and about a mile east of D/FW Airport.
Firefighters had the blaze under control at 4:13 a.m., according to the reports.
Red Cross officials were summoned to help the displaced families.
"We are helping six families with financial assistance for groceries, clothing, shoes, and other like items," said Anita Foster, Red Cross spokeswoman. "The apartment manager does have space for everyone."
