Overnight tanker fire closes Texas 360 in Arlington
Texas 360 in Arlington at Mayfield Road was closed for nearly six hours overnight after a tractor-trailer flipped and erupted in flames, according to reports.
The driver of the rig escaped the conflagration that followed the wreck at 11:46 p.m. Monday in the 2500 block of East Mayfield Road, beneath the Texas 360 bridge, the reports stated.
Heavy fire continued through the night; it was finally brought under control at 2:07 a.m. Tuesday, according to the reports.
The highway and Mayfield Road remained closed for a few more hours as crews worked to clear the wreckage.
Traffic on Texas 360 resumed at 5:45 a.m., the reports stated.
