ARLINGTON -- Firefighters extinguished a one-alarm fire at a mobile home park in northeast Arlington Tuesday morning.
The blaze destroyed the kitchen of the home in the 2100 block of Firglen Drive.
No one was injured in the fire that occurred near Ballpark Way and Avenue J, just before 8 a.m.
A woman told fire officials that she was cooking breakfast for her two children before they were to leave for school.
The woman said she turned the stove off before she left, said Battalion Chief Mike Shoemaker. A fire investigator was at the scene trying to determine the cause of the fire.
