A gunman robbed a north-side pharmacy overnight of cash and coins, police said.
The incident was reported around midnight at the CVC Pharmacy, 4333 Western Center Blvd., said Lt. Paul Henderson, police spokesman.An 18-year-old employee, Henderson said, was approached by a pistol-toting man who demanded, "Give me the money.""The employee walked over to a register and opened the drawer," Henderson said. "The robber reached in and took approximately $50 in cash and some rolls of coins."He pointed to the other registers, however the employee told him they were empty."Then he left, Henderson said.The man was described as being black and 6-feet tall "with a hefty build," Henderson said.
