A gunman robbed a north-side pharmacy overnight of cash and coins, police said.
The incident was reported around midnight at the CVC Pharmacy, 4333 Western Center Blvd., said Lt. Paul Henderson, police spokesman.
An 18-year-old employee, Henderson said, was approached by a pistol-toting man who demanded, "Give me the money."
"The employee walked over to a register and opened the drawer," Henderson said. "The robber reached in and took approximately $50 in cash and some rolls of coins.
"He pointed to the other registers, however the employee told him they were empty."
Then he left, Henderson said.
The man was described as being black and 6-feet tall "with a hefty build," Henderson said. He wore a plain white T-shirt and a black bandanna over his face, Henderson said.
Anyone with information about the crime can call robbery detectives at 817-392-4370, or call Crime Stoppers at 800-469-TIPS, Henderson said.
