ARLINGTON -- Police are asking for help in identifying a man who robbed the Compass Bank at 921 W. Lamar Blvd. at about 6:15 p.m. Tuesday.
The suspect grabbed a bank employee as he opened the back door and forced the employee inside, according to a written statement from police.
The suspect held two employees at gunpoint while going through the safe, pictures provided by the police show. At one point, the suspect is shown holding a woman by the throat while pointing a gun at a bank employee. The employees were not injured during the robbery.
The suspect is described as six feet tall, 180 pounds. He was wearing blue jeans, a green hoodie and a white hat. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money before leaving the area on a bicycle.
The wheels on the bike have different spoke patterns.
