SOUTHLAKE -- A local radio talk-show host was charged Monday with aggravated assault, accused of displaying a pistol during an argument with a woman at his home, police said Monday afternoon.

Russ Martin, 48, was arrested Friday morning at the Larry North Fitness Center in Southlake and released a few hours after posting $10,000 bail.

Martin is accused of assaulting the woman at his home on July 14.

The woman told police that she and Martin got into an argument which turned physical. At some point, the woman told police that Martin displayed a pistol.

Southlake police obtained an arrest warrant and took Martin into custody Friday morning.

Police records indicated that they had not responded to any previous calls of assaults or disturbances at his home. He also had no previous arrest history with Southlake police.

Martin is a radio personality at KLLI/105.3 FM. The station aired "The Best of Russ Martin" during his normal time slot Monday afternoon.
