HALTOM CITY -- A 4-month-old girl's death just hours after being treated at a Fort Worth hospital in May was ruled death by natural causes, according to an autopsy result released Wednesday by the Tarrant County medical examiner's office.

Kimoni Evans died on May 13 from sudden infant death, the autopsy report states.

But the autopsy report states that authorities could not determine a cause for the SID.

Since her birth in January, Kimoni had never had any health problems, her mother, Kristina Evans, told the Star-Telegram in May.

But Kimoni developed a fever on May 12 and was taken to Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth where she was treated.

On the morning of May 13, Kristina Evans has said that her daughter wasn't breathing when she checked on her.
