CLEBURNE-- Officials have identified three members of a family from Bosque County who died Sunday in a head-on collision involving a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier and a 1999 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck.
The driver of the pickup, Wanda Timmons of Clifton, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kameron Burdette, 7, who was riding in the front seat and and Brandy Valdez also of Clifton who was riding in the right rear passenger seat, also died, said Sgt. Amy Knoll, a spokeswoman for the Cleburne police department. A 5-year-old child, Karyngten Burdette, was transported to a Fort Worth hospital, where her condition was not available, Knoll said in a news release.
The accident occurred shortly after 1 p.m. Sunday when the Toyota traveling north along Texas 174 veered in to the southbound lane, colliding head-on with the pickup driven by Timmons.
The driver of the pickup, Jeremy Roberts, 18, of Joshua was transported to a Fort Worth hospital with non life-threatening injuries, Knoll said.
The accident is still under investigation, she said.
