Fort Worth man fatally stabbed

FORT WORTH -- Police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man Sunday night at a residence in west Fort Worth, just north of Benbrook.

Lt. Paul Henderson, a police spokesman, said the victim, identified by the Tarrant County medical examiner's office as 52-year-old William Hall, was staying with a friend and the friend’s girlfriend at a residence in the 5000 block of Lyndon Drive. The address is near the intersection with Wycliff Street.

At some point, the girlfriend and a 15-year-old boy, believed to be the woman's son, began arguing in the hallway with Hall. The argument spilled into the kitchen and either the girlfriend or the 15-year-old boy stabbed the Hall in the neck, Henderson said. The woman and the 15-year-old fled in an unknown direction.

"We don't know why the argument started or what it was about -- only that it resulted in murder," Henderson said.

Hall was pronounced dead at an area hospital at 10:15 p.m.
