BEDFORD -- A car fire on Airport Freeway Friday morning caused two traffic accidents that forced police to close part of the highway, authorities said.
No serious injuries were reported, police said.
The car fire was reported about 7:30 a.m. in the 2100 block of the eastbound lanes of Airport Freeway just past Central Drive.
As police worked that incident, two other traffic accidents happened in the backup, police said. The accidents happened on the freeway between Central Drive and Forest Ridge Drive.
Police closed at least one lane of eastbound traffic. Traffic was moving again, however, by 9 a.m., according to reports.
