Parity in 4-5A. Whichever four teams happen to survive District 4-5A and make the playoffs will certainly have earned their way. Six of the district nine teams are within three games of each other as the second round of district play begins this week.

“As far as getting your ready for playoffs it is good to play in close games as opposed to playing really bad teams and killing them,” Mansfield coach Jay Harvill said.

Weatherford (7-1) has a one game lead over Mansfield (6-1), while Burleson (6-2), North Crowley (5-3), Granbury (4-4) and Summit (4-4) are all in the mix.
