Softball

Austin-bound? OK, it’s early. We get it. But with the way Aledo’s last two seasons have ended – in the regional finals both year – luck has got to fall on them at some point, doesn’t it?

A little luck can go a long way and so too can a whole lot of Whitney Canion, perhaps all the way to the state tournament. The Baylor signee threw a five-inning no hitter in a 14-0 win over Mineral Wells on March 8 to improve to 5-0 on the season. She was 23-2 with a 0.39 ERA last season. The Ladycats are 12-1and 2-0 in District 8-4A. They’ll host Crowley on Tuesday and Stephenville on Friday.
