Matching D.C. United difficult for FC Dallas

    No matter the sports league, there’s always a club or two that rises well above the others to establish a hierarchy.

    D.C. United reigns as the King Arthur of Major League Soccer while FC Dallas isn’t quite as low as peasants, but still a club far away from royalty.

    FC Dallas’ one saving grace in comparing the two franchises is the stadium battle, with Pizza Hut Park shining above the dilapidated RFK Stadium. According to Forbes magazine, venue control puts FC Dallas in a small profit margin while, despite its on-field success, D.C. United still loses millions.

    FC Dallas travels to Washington, D.C., for tonight’s 6:30 matchup, and it is desperate for points as the regular season nears its end. At the moment, FC Dallas is sitting outside the playoffs.
