1Cowboys pass rush: The sack numbers are rising and so are the quarterback pressures. This game has big potential for DeMarcus Ware, who suddenly leads the Cowboys with five sacks, three more than anyone else on the team. His main opposition will be left tackle Jason Peters, who must make the Eagles wonder whether they got their money’s worth in an off-season trade. Peters has allowed four sacks this season and 15.5 in the past 20 games.
2Romo and Roy: They threw the football after practice for extra reps last week in hopes of finally connecting in a game. This bizarre scenario has quarterback Tony Romo throwing mostly accurately to everyone but the No. 1 receiver. Williams spent the week talking about how Romo’s passes force him to make circus catches with Romo responding that practice will ultimately bring the two together.3Feasting in November: Tony Romo is 12-1 in November as a starter and hasn’t lost since Nov. 5, 2006, at Washington, his first November game as a starter. And the Redskins won that one on a crazy finish. He is 32-14 in his first 46 career starts and 16-6 on the road. His .727 road winning percentage is second best among quarterbacks with at least 15 career road starts in the Super Bowl era.4Turnovers: How big is the takeaway game? The Eagles have won four of the past six meetings against the Cowboys. In the Eagles’ four wins, the Cowboys turned it over 16 times. Entering the first meeting this season, turnovers are a major story. The Cowboys rank 18th in the league in turnover margin at minus-1, while the Eagles sit at the top at plus-12. Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb has thrown one interception in 133 attempts this season and has thrown only two in his past 10 regular-season starts, dating to last season.5Calling Michael Vick: The spread formation featuring Michael Vick has not taken off the way many expected when the Eagles signed the former Atlanta Falcons quarterback. Vick has 11 carries on the season for a very un-Vick-like 25 yards. His longest run is just 11 yards. But be sure that coach Andy Reid would love to spring a surprise on the Cowboys, who are well aware of Vick’s potential in the formation.
