IRVING — The Dallas Cowboys announced Wednesday that a magnetic resonance imaging exam of linebacker DeMarcus Ware’s left foot revealed a stress fracture.
“His foot was sore, but he played the last game, and he did all right I thought,” Cowboys coach Wade Phillips said. “He’s been playing well. It’s not a major injury. It’s one you can play with.”The Cowboys also announced that Marion Barber fractured his left thumb against the Kansas City Chiefs. Phillips said Barber is wearing a cast, but that it should not affect Barber, who is right-handed. The Cowboys have eight other players on their injury report. All of them practiced, including Felix Jones (knee), Roy Williams (ribs) and Gerald Sensabaugh (thumb). Jones has missed the past two games.“I’m getting there,” Jones said Wednesday. “I’m taking it day by day, and it’s getting better and better. That’s all I can go by right now.”Charean Williams
