New Dallas Cowboys stadium has a roar all its own

While crews work, the new Dallas Cowboys stadium whistles.

Whenever the wind gusts, an eerie, high-pitched sound roars through the $1 billion football stadium under construction in Arlington, sometimes drowning out conversations.

At one point last week, a construction worker even started whistling back, but the stadium won.

"We've been told by our engineers that this is something that is temporary until we get the roof on," construction manager Jack Hill said.

Getting the retractable roof up has been a problem, however, because of - you guessed it - recent blustery conditions.
