Gordon Lakey, director of major-league scouting: Barker resident is an Austin native who went to Texas. Davey Lopes, first-base coach: Held same spot with the Rangers from 1988-1991 and served as dugout coach. Stairs played 26 games for the Rangers late in 2006, hitting .210 with three homers. YankeesJerry Hairston Jr., OF: Batting .194 in 247 at-bats for the Rangers from the middle of the 2006 season through 2007.Freddy Guzman, OF: Was 3-for-13 for Rangers in 2006 and 2007 before being traded to Detroit for Chris Shelton on Dec. 5, 2007.Andy Pettitte, LHP: Raised in the Houston area, Pettitte attended San Jacinto JC and pitched for the Astros from 2004-06.Alex Rodriguez, 3B: 2003 AL MVP with Rangers. Admitted in February to using performance-enhancing drugs during three seasons in Texas.Mark Teixeira, 1B: The Rangers’ No. 1 draft choice in 2001 was traded to Atlanta in 2007 for five prospects, four of whom were on the Rangers’ roster in 2009.
