ADDISON — Fort Worth Diamond Hill-Jarvis couldn’t keep up with Dallas Jefferson as the Eagles fell 46-0 Thursday night at Loos Stadium.Jefferson quarterback Kendrick Bright finished with 146 yards on 5-of-8 passing and threw two touchdowns. He also ran for 156 yards on eight carries and another score. Jeremiah Johnson got Jefferson on the scoreboard after his 34-yard scamper in the first before Bright connected with Devante Calhoun on a 72-yard touchdown in the opening quarter. Bright would add an 80-yard score on the ground early in the second before Johnson scored his second touchdown just before halftime, giving the Patriots (1-1) a 27-0 lead at the break. Bright passed and ran for scores in the third and Calhoun returned a 31-yard punt for a touchdown late in the fourth. On the return, Jefferson’s Jose Luna was injured on the sideline. An ambulance came and transported him to Medical City Dallas. He left on a stretcher and was alert and talking, according to Jefferson’s coaching staff. The officials and coaches came together and decided to end the game with 2:28 left on the clock. The Eagles (0-2) had trouble moving the ball all night long. Running back Tim Robinson led the Eagles with 69 yards rushing on 19 carries.After opening the season with losses in two road games, Diamond Hill-Jarvis will play its home opener against Fort Worth Carter-Riverside on Sept. 12 hoping to reverse its fortunes.
