It seems that Stephen P. Hammack (in his letter August 17) is looking forward to the U.S. Supreme Court taking control of all government activity.

More and more things are being declared “constitutional” and therefore removed from authority of the elected Members of Congress.

The Constitution does state how governing is to be directed between the federal government and the state.

This point needs to be considered more often and a lot closer.
