Preston Paden passed for three touchdowns, rushed for two more and compiled 305 total yards as he paced Burleson to a 63-6 victory Friday over Fort Worth Western Hills at Burleson Stadium in the season opener for both teams.

Burleson extended its regular-season winning streak to six games. Western Hills’ Willie Desdunes scored on a 12-yard pass from A.J. Daniels with 2:30 left, ending Burleson’s bid for its first shutout in more than four years.

Paden, a junior, scored on runs of 49 and 4 yards and tossed three more touchdown passes as Burleson cruised in a game that it led 50-0 at halftime.
