Back helps Justin Northwest blow past Corsicana in second half

Quentin Thorpe rushed for 163 yards and two touchdowns Friday night as Justin Northwest defeated Corsicana 34-14 at Northwest ISD Stadium.

Penalties were the story of the first quarter. Corsicana had a 104-yard kickoff return for a touchdown called back, while Northwest saw a 52-yard punt return for a touchdown negated.

After a scoreless first quarter, the Texans broke through early in the second when Chris Hamilton drilled a 35-yard field goal.

The Northwest offense came to life in the second half, driving 74 yards on its opening drive and scoring when Emmanuel Moore caught a 38-yard pass from Jesse Drummer.

Drummer passed for 234 yards and two touchdowns, and Moore finished with 96 yards receiving and two touchdowns.

In the fourth quarter, Thorpe broke a 59-yard touchdown run to put the game out of reach.
