Police suspect murder-suicide in the deaths of a man and woman found in a house in far north Fort Worth Wednesday night.

A 44-year-old man and 25-year-old woman, whose names had not been released by late Thursday afternoon, were found in a bedroom of a house in the 1800 block of Two Hawks Drive.

The couple, described by police as boyfriend and girlfriend, had been shot in the head. A weapon was found at the scene.

Homicide Sgt. Joe Loughman said police believed the shootings were a murder-suicide but are awaiting rulings by the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office before saying which one shot the other.

The couple were seen alive between 5 and 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and police believe the shootings occurred shortly thereafter, Loughman said.

Two other adults who live at the house called 911 about 6:40 p.m. after arriving home and finding the bodies, police have said.

Loughman said the bedroom in which the couple were found was in disarray, indicating a possible struggle.

No note was left, and police are unaware of any history of domestic violence between the couple, he said.
