Dwayne Harris knows it just comes with the job.

After averaging 30.6 yards on 28 kickoff returns and 12.8 yards on 20 punt returns last season, Harris has become a marked man.

“You know when you’re out there as a returner and get big returns, it seems like somebody’s always trying to get that hit on you,” Harris said. “That’s part of the game. Just go out there and keep playing and take the hits, keep going.”

Harris had returns of 50 and 29 yards against the Dolphins.

“Boy, I thought he was competing tonight,” Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said. “He set a tone early that he can do. He just does that, and I think it’s inspirational to the team.”

Harris was injured on his second return. He has what he termed minor hip and ankle injuries.

“I think it was a little late hit,” Harris said. “I got bent back. I’m all right. I came out pretty good considering the circumstances. …I’ll be all right.”
