Dallas Stars to train again at Fort Worth Convention Center

The Dallas Stars will hold their training camp for the second consecutive season at the Fort Worth Convention Center.

The camp will be held Sept. 19-21 and will include an intrasquad scrimmage on the final day.

Practices are free and open to the public.

The Stars will hold their Cowtown Kickoff on at 3 p.m. Sept. 19 at Sundance Square.

The Stars Street squad will have a bounce house and slap shot cage. Prophets and Outlaws will perform twice. The band will open at 6 p.m. and close the event from 8-10 p.m.

In between, Stars broadcasters Josh Bogorad and Ali Lucia will host a question and answer session with members of the club’s organization.

Practices times on Sept. 19 will be 9-10:45 a.m. (Group A) and 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (Group B).

Practice times on Sept. 20 will be 9-10:45 a.m. (Group B), 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (Group A & C)

The intrasquad scrimmage is at 10 a.m. Sept. 21.

The Dallas Stars open the 2014-15 regular season at home against the Chicago Blackhawks on Oct. 9 at American Airlines Center.

The team’s first preseason game is against St. Louis at American Airlines Center on Sept. 22.
