Linebacker DeVonte Holloman is being evaluated by doctors after yet another neck injury. The 2013 sixth-round draft pick missed seven games with a neck injury last season. He re-injured his neck in Saturday’s preseason game against the Ravens.

“He’s still getting evaluated on that, but it is a neck injury, and he had a neck injury last year, so we’ll just monitor him after he gets the feedback from the doctors,” Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said. “We’re obviously looking at that situation very closely.”

Garrett was asked if Holloman’s latest injury could be career threatening: “We’ve just got to see what the doctors say. Simple as that.”

Gavin Escobar injured his shoulder Saturday. But Garrett said it is a minor injury, and listed the tight end as “day to day.”

Linebacker Anthony Hitchens has a stinger but is expected to practice Tuesday, Garrett said.
