In his press conference Aug. 6, President Obama stated “good governance means everyone has a voice.”

When Obama bypasses Congress with edicts, he is denying a voice to anyone who disagrees. Also, his views of the Constitution now differ dramatically from when he was attacking the Bush administration.

His hubris, arrogance, hostility to those with the temerity to differ with him, and his support of those responsible for the legion of scandals in his administration (move over. President Grant) may contribute to his approval rating.

I imagine Vladimir Putin is grateful for the increased “flexibility,” but the world at large is suffering from the U.S.’s abdication of leadership.

Obama’s determination to create a permanent Democratic majority by fostering dependency on the government appears to be his guiding principle.
