Dragons will be drinking Ozarka water.

The Carroll Independent School District Board of Trustees unanimously approved a two-year advertising and promotional contract with Nestle’s Ozarka Brand 100 percent Natural Spring Water for $72,000, with the option for a third year at its Aug. 4 meeting.

“We are thrilled to reach this agreement with Ozarka,” Superintendent David Faltys said in a press release. “The dollars generated from this contract will provide a significant financial impact to our district and assist funding the educational needs for our students.”

The deal makes Ozarka the official bottled water of the football program and Dragon Stadium.

As part of the deal, Ozarka will have signage and branding at the stadium including a place on the digital score board and a digital game common at sporting events.

Also, Ozarka bottled water will be sold at school events and the band and drill team will sit in Ozarka branded seats. The deal also includes 410 cases of bottled water for student groups.

Julie Thannum, Carroll assistant superintendent for Board and Community Relations, said another big gain for the district is the ability to buy bottled water at a discounted rate.

“The concessions contract represents a significant commitment by Ozarka to support Texas high school football and our local community,” she said.

The opening game of the season versus Austin Westlake on Aug. 29 will be Ozarka Night.

This is the water brand’s first Texas high school football sponsorship.
