J.J. Wilcox and Dez Bryant had the most memorable training camp scuffle to date on Sunday, and owner Jerry Jones called it one of the best “tit-for-tats” he’s seen in 25 years.

Wilcox delivered a hard hit on Bryant before Sunday’s scrimmage, something that didn’t sit well with Bryant initially.

Bryant got into Wilcox’s face after the hit and a fight broke out. Wilcox didn’t back down and threw a few wild haymakers at Bryant. His first clearly landed on Bryant’s face mask, but it didn’t get too out of hand after that.

After both had settled down and practice had ended, the moment was viewed in a positive light as simply being a heat-of-the-moment scuffle.

Jones had no issues with it and joked about wanting Wilcox on his side during any altercation.

“I don’t want any of Wilcox,” Jones said. “He’s got the fastest hands on the team and I just want him with me. That’s the quickest I’ve seen on a football field. He can put ‘em on it.

“Plus, he’s not afraid to go getcha either. That was one of the best little tit-for-tats I’ve seen in 25 years.”
