Get your oompah on from 5-10 p.m. in the annual Wurst Festival on Smith Street in downtown Mansfield. Live music, dancing, weenie dog races, food and drinks are planned. Admission is free. Cost to enter your pup in the weenie dog races is $5.

Scholarship golf tournament

The 7th annual Dr. Michael A. Evans Sr. Scholarship Golf Classic will be held at Mansfield National Golf Club, 3750 National Parkway. Registration starts at 6:30 a.m. and shotgun start is at 8 a.m. Cost is $80 per person or $320 per team. For more information, go to www.tournevents.com/bbcman.

The second annual Mansfield Shootout Sporting Clay Tournament is set for 9 a.m. at Alpine Shooting Range, 5482 Shelby Road in Fort Worth. Cost is $100 per shooter before Sept. 6 and $125 after Sept. 6, or $485 for a foursome before Sept. 6 and $500 for a foursome after Sept. 6.
