Children had a chance to learn about snakes and other reptiles at the Colleyville Public Library’s Snake Encounters event.

Daryl Sprout gave a roomful of attendees a close-up look at the reptiles on Thursday at the library.

He brought snakes like a Burmese python, Venezuelan rattlesnake and non-snakes like an Argentinian lizard.
