Weatherford Police Department welcomes new officer to the force

Weatherford Police Department is pleased to announce a new officer to the force.

Municipal Judge Robert T. Galbreaith issued the Oath of Office to Officer Matthew Brenner last week. Brenner comes to Weatherford Police Department from Weatherford College Campus Police Department, where he served as the Operations Sergeant. Brenner received his Texas Commission on Law Enforcement license in 2001 and now holds a Master Piece Officer certification. He has an Associate of Science Degree from Manchester Community College and previously served three years active duty in the United States Army followed by five years in the National Guard. Prior to working at Weatherford College, Brenner was employed at Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

Brenner, wife Christel and their three children have been Weatherford residents for the past eight years. On his days off, he enjoys woodworking, hunting, and playing golf.
