Cassco Development has unveiled plans for an 11,000-square-foot cycling and fitness center at the Trailhead in Clearfork in Fort Worth.The Trailhead began as an outdoor recreation venue along the riverfront of the Trinity Trails in Clearfork, off Hulen Street. It opened in fall of 2013. Complimentary fitness classes are held Saturdays in the fall and spring.Started as a collaborative effort by Cassco Development and active-lifestyle community partners, the Trailhead is at the roundabout between Hulen and Bryant Irvin Road, on Clearfork Main Street.“From running and cycling groups to fitness studios and health food and beverage establishments, the Trailhead has been privileged to have the support of local partners,” Cassco Vice President Paxton Motheral said. “These partnerships allowed us to create a new destination in Fort Worth and a unique offering to our community.”The new facility will build off the initial concept to become a premier destination for cycling, fitness and health enthusiasts of all levels, he said. It will have direct access to the Trinity Trail system.“We are now taking the original idea one step further,” Motheral said.The center will include a full-service bike shop, a coffee and juice bar, a fitness studio and a rooftop bar overlooking the Trinity River. Construction is scheduled to begin this fall and be completed in spring. It will continue to offer complimentary outdoor classes and activities. Right now, the Clearfork development includes Forest Park Medical Center, 392 multifamily residences that will open next summer and more than 400,000 square feet of retail space slated for summer 2016. Eventually it will have 2 million square feet of office space, 1.2 million square feet of retail space and 2,500 multifamily residences.HomeTown land sold to home builderColleyville-based Peyton Thomas Homes has bought 7.3 acres in HomeTown, the North Richland Hills mixed-used neighborhood development at Boulevard 26 and Parker Road.Realty Capital Management of Dallas sold the land. The development, called the Villas at Hometown, will consist of 37 villa homes ranging in size from 2,300 square feet to 3,000.
