Bastad, Sweden (SportsNetwork.com) - Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, the lone seeded player on Monday's schedule, was eliminated in the first round of the Swedish Open.American Grace Min pulled off the upset of the second-seeded Russian with a 6-0, 6-4 victory. Min was coming off a semifinal run last week at the Gastein Ladies tournament.Other winners Monday in the main draw included South Africa's Chanelle Scheepers, Slovakia's Jana Cepelova and Spain's Lara Arruabarrena.Scheepers cruised to a 6-3, 6-4 win over Colombia's Mariana Duque-Marino and Cepelova topped Swedish wild card Rebecca Peterson, 6-4, 6-4. The 18-year-old Peterson was the youngest player in the draw. Arruabarrena was ahead 6-1, 4-2 when Romania's Irina Camelia-Begu retired.Polana Hercog of Slovenia is the only former champion in this week's draw. She won back-to-back titles in 2011-12. Serena Williams was last year's winner.
