For the second night in a row, Alex Bogomolov Jr. and Aisam Qureshi rallied the Texas Wild in the final set to force a World TeamTennis super tiebreaker, then won it to keep the Wild atop the Western Conference standings on Friday night at the Four Seasons Resort in Las Colinas.

After rallying from a four-game deficit for a 20-19 victory in San Diego on Thursday, Bogomolov and Qureshi came from two games down in the final set Friday against Marcelo Melo of Brazil and Canadian Frank Dancevic of the Philadelphia Freedoms for a 22-21 victory.

Bogomolov and Qureshi won the set 5-3, then beat Melo and Dancevic 7-1 in the tiebreaker to run the Wild’s record to 4-1, 1 1/2 matches ahead of Austin (2-2) and San Diego (2-2) in the Western Conference.

In Thursday’s match, Bogomolov and Qureshi won the final set 5-1 against San Diego’s Somdev Devvarman and Raven Klassen to tie the match 19-19. They then won the tiebreaker by winning the deciding point for a 7-6 margin that sealed the overall victory.

The Wild fell behind early Friday, losing 5-3 in mixed doubles, but Bogomolov pulled out a hard-fought win in men’s singles by winning a tiebreaker for a 5-4 victory over Dancevic. Anabel Medina Garrigues and Darija Jurak then won women’s doubles 5-4 in a tiebreaker to tie the match at 13-13 with two sets remaining. Taylor Townsend beat Garrigues 5-3 in women’s singles to put the presure on the Wild in the final set.

The Wild play at 7:30 p.m. tonight at Springfield before returning home to take on the Aviators at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. It will also be USTA Family Fun Night with box seets for $100 and grandstand seats for $31.95.
