In “The Dark Side of the Texas Miracle,” the Texas Tribune bemoans the lack of compulsory workers’ compensation insurance.

You should look into how workers’ compensation is a cruel hoax.

When I was injured and required surgery to repair a broken clavicle, it took the federal Office of Workers' Compensation Programs five months to approve the operation, and by then it was too late.

The bones never fused.

Workers’ compensation is just a foretaste of the Affordable Care Act: It’s affordable for the government, because they don’t pay.
