Two North Texas football players were arrested last week on charges they attempted to steal two televisions from a Denton Walmart. Shedrell “Sed” Devante Ellis, 19, and Christopher Devante Loving, 21, were booked into Denton City Jail the morning of June 24.

According to the arrest warrants, an employee at the Walmart in the 1500 block of South Loop 288 reported he saw three suspects acting suspiciously in the electronics department June 21 before they loaded a 24-inch and a 32-inch TV into carts and walked out the garden center exit without attempting to pay. They loaded the TVs into a car and drove away.

UNT confirmed both men are students at the school, but would not release any further information.
