Mach 1 Track Club advances 22 to regional meet

The Mach 1 Track Club will be sending 22 of its team members to the regional meet in San Marcos next week after results from the Region 12 Association meet in Springtown.

In the 8-under age group, Jamie Gray finished 5th in the Long Jump with a 9-03 tally. In the 9-10 age group, Maitlynn Mitchell finished 4th at 6:40, Sarah McAfee finished fifth with a time of 6:42, and Justin McAfee finished 6th at 6:27.

In the 11-12 age group, Elijah Potts finished 12th in the Long Jump with 13-09.50. Competing in both the 1,500 and 3,000, Branden Torres was 9th at 6:23 and 7th with 14:26, respectively; Michael Dinkins finished 10th at 6:23.61 and 6th at 14:09; Sadie Tharp was 3rd at 5:21 and 2nd at 12:10; and Amelia Ingram was 5th at 5:42 and 3rd with 12:41. Reagon Pirkle finished 11th in the 1,500 at 7:25 and Sam Ingram finished 5th in the 3,000 at 13:33. Kyley Barnett finished 9th in 80m hurdles at 18.55 and Kadee Kelley finished 6th in high jump at 3-11.25.

In the 13-14, Savanna Torres finished 12th in the 3,000m at 14:32; Gracie Morris was 3rd in the 3,000 at 11:01 and 2nd in the 1,500 at 4:56 9(PB). Jessie Steele finished 6th in the 800 at 2:27 and 7th in the 1,500 at 5:07 (PB). Graydon Morris was 8th in the 3,000 at 11:17 and 4th in the 1,500m at 4:48. Robert Eaton was 8th in high jump at 4-06.

In the 15-16, Katie Torres was 8th in the 1,500 at 6:46; Britney Torres was 5th in the 3,000 at 14:13 and 6th in the 1,500 at 6:14; Jared Steele was 8th in the 800 at 2:04 and 5th in the 1,500 at 4:42; and Matthew Gray was 8th in high jump at 4-10.25.

Michael Meadows was 9th in the 1,500 at 4:31 in the 17-18 age group.
