A woman killed in a collision with a semi-truck Thursday in north Fort Worth has been identified as Ida Teague, 57, of Fort Worth.

The wreck happened shortly after 7 p.m. at the intersection of North Sylvania Avenue and Meacham Boulvard.

According to Office Sharron Neal, a police spokeswoman, witnesses told police that Teague appeared to be talking on her cellphone when she ran a red light, causing the semi to hit her car.

Teague was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 8:13 p.m.

The semi’s driver was not injured, Neal said.
