The fire that killed one person in a Colleyville residence early Tuesday started in a storage area on the back patio where chemicals, including some for the swimming pool, were stored, a city spokeswoman said Wednesday.

“No evidence was found that led investigators to believe that the fire was intentionally started,” spokeswoman Mona Gandy said in a news release.

Firefighters found a body in the house after the fire was put out. Authorities had not identified the person by Wednesday afternoon. But local TV stations said she was Tylar Batchelor, 17, who had attended Burleson Centennial High School.

A 17-year-old girl was seen going upstairs about 10:30 p.m. Monday, officials said.

The blaze was reported shortly after 1 a.m. Tuesday in the 3500 block of Blue Quail Lane in Colleyville. A man, a woman and a baby escaped uninjured, officials said.
