This year is a major milestone for Ritter and Associates Commercial Real Estate. Forty-five years ago, Thomas Ritter, along with his mother Frances Christofferson, created the company guided by the principles of quality customer service, exceptional market knowledge, integrity, and family values. They opened their first offices in the Oak Cliff community of Dallas and served that area for a number of years providing residential and commercial real estate services. In 1981, Ritter moved his business and family to Mansfield with the goal of expanding more into commercial, industrial and residential land development. The company has continued to expand and diversify over the years moving their office from Arlington to Mansfield to its current location at 1703 Fountainview Drive. Ritter and Associates is very much a family business. Dana Sullivan, Ritter’s daughter, began working with the company after their move to Mansfield and her husband, Mark Sullivan, came on with the company as a sales associate in 1984. Ritter’s wife, Bonnie, worked in the office as well for a number of years. Recently, Casey Sullivan, Ritter’s grandson and a teacher in Mansfield school district, began working with the company making Ritter and Associates a fourth-generation family business, a milestone the company is very proud. All members of the family are happy to call Mansfield home. Ritter and Associates has had the pleasure of working with several sales associates over the years, some of whom have come from other firms and many that have moved on to start up their own with great results. Recently Bob Vinson came on with the company and has over 25 years of experience as a broker in residential and commercial real estate. As well as being family-oriented, Ritter and Associates has a history of community involvement with the city of Mansfield. Ritter has served as a Mansfield City Council member and maintains a good working relationship with city staff and city leadership. He is also a member of the Friends of the Police organization and was on the advisory board of Mansfield Community Bank. Mark Sullivan serves on the board of directors for the Society of Commercial Realtors and served on the executive board of the Mansfield Chamber of Commerce. Both are involved with their churches, Ritter with St. John’s Lutheran and Sullivan with Living Church in Mansfield. Since its inception Ritter and Associates has evolved into one of Mansfield’s leaders in commercial real estate with a special focus on expanding business practices that create tangible and enduring economic opportunities for Mansfield, its residents and the overall community in which they reside.
