Hypocritical claims

Jack Rafuse claims (“Natural gas exports no longer an American pipe dream,” Thursday) that American businesses, the ones that actually reside in the U.S. and hire Americans, with their self-indulging “me first” attitude must produce “credible analysis” to back their warnings that American consumers will take a financial hit if natural gas exports are allowed to be essentially deregulated.

But it’s OK for the natural gas producers to scream bloody murder when tighter emissions regulations are proposed, swooning with mock despair over imagined job-killing government overreach and dire warnings of national security breaches?

Talk about a bunch of hypocrites. It’s enough to make my eyes roll.
