The Arts Council of Fort Worth is updating its cultural plan for the first time since 2002 and is seeking community input.

The topics to be discussed include urban revitalization, funding, diversity, inclusion and how Fort Worth could improve in arts and culture.

Matt Lehrman, principal of Audience Avenue, a marketing firm for arts organizations and cultural destinations, will lead the meetings, according to Sohana Kutub, spokesperson for the meetings.

This weekend’s meetings are the first in a series. The second set of meetings will reach out to neighborhoods throughout Fort Worth at community centers and libraries, she said. The dates of those meetings have not yet been decided.

The goal is to create a 10-year strategic plan for the city on arts and cultural issues, and the 2014 Cultural Plan will be approved by an executive and steering committee composed of Fort Worth community leaders.
