Reward offered for bulldog puppies stolen in Johnson County

The owners of two stolen English bulldog puppies taken from a home near Burleson last weekend have offered a $5,000 reward for their safe return.

Burglars took three puppies from the home in the 3700 block of Trails End Road near Burleson, but one puppy, 10-month-old Sky, was found at a Fort Worth park. That puppy was returned to Lucky and Donna Watson.

The other puppies — Sky’s 10-month-old sibling, Mac, and 9-month-old Cowboy — are still gone.

Mac and Sky had been scheduled to compete at a show in Denver this week.

Deputies have received dozens of tips on the missing puppies, but no one had been arrested as of Thursday.

Burglars broke into the house sometime late Friday and early Saturday while the Watsons’ grandson was taking care of the puppies. The Watsons were in California selling other puppies.

When he woke up Saturday morning, the Watsons’ grandson could not find the puppies, and also discovered that a television and a laptop computer were missing.

The Watsons have raised English bulldogs for 35 years as DoWats Bulldog.
