Galileo Church hosts Hymns & Libations

Everyone is invited to Hymns & Libations, hosted by Galileo Church at Steven’s Garden & Grill, 223 Depot St., from 7-9 p.m. June 16. Cost is $10 cover charge, and includes one draft beer or glass of wine.

New Hope plans Vacation Bible School

Weird Animals VBS set at St. John Lutheran

A summer kids’ event called Weird Animals VBS will be hosted at St. John Lutheran Church from June 23-27. At Weird Animals, kids will learn about some of God’s most creative creations. They’ll participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, make and dig into yummy treats, experience cool Bible adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them they are one of a kind and test Sciency-Fun Gizmos they’ll take home and play with all summer. Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through God Sightings.

Weird Animals VBS is for kids from 3 1/2 years through fourth grade from 9 a.m. until noon each day. Early registration is $20 per child or $35 max per family. Register now at For more information, call (817) 473-4889.

Church plans Bible study

This summer, the Women’s Ministry of Mansfield Bible Church will do a Bible study, “The Inheritance,” by Beth Moore. The dates are June 11 through Aug. 13. To sign up for this impactful study or to learn more about MBC, go to MBC is located at 2351 Country Club Drive. The Sunday morning worship services are at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.

FUMC offers men’s recovery group

A new Men’s Celebrate Recovery Step Study is now meeting at First Methodist Mansfield on Monday nights from 7-9 p.m. A key ingredient to Celebrate Recovery, these gender-specific Step Studies utilize the 12 steps and eight principles based on the teachings of Jesus in the Beatitudes, helping participants deal with their own hurts, habits and hang-ups.
