Melissa Jimenez of Arlington wins the first week of the My Mansfiel Photo Contest for this photo of 14-year-old Hope Jimenez at Katherine Rose Memorial Park before a dance recital. She earns a gift certificate from Joe’s Family Restaurant, and her photo will be on display in downtown Mansfield during the Hot Beats & Cold Brews Concert Series in October.

Want to win, too? Show us how you see Mansfield! Can you capture that image?

Enter your photos in the News-Mirror’s second annual My Mansfield Photo Contest and you could win dinner, an enormous copy of your photo and have your photo on display in downtown Mansfield.

Show us your view of Mansfield, whether it’s your kids playing in the sprinklers, a softball game, picnic in the park, a funny picture of your pet or your grandparents relaxing on the porch.

Entry is free and runs through Aug. 27. Winners will be announced weekly in the newspaper along with a published copy of their photograph through Sept. 3. Each will receive a gift certificate to a local business, then have an enlarged copy of their photo displayed at the Mansfield Historical Museum & Heritage Center. We will also publish as many photographs as possible on the News-Mirror’s Facebook page.

All photographs must have been taken by the person submitting and be taken in Mansfield. Photos that have been previously submitted are not eligible. Employees of the Star-Telegram and Mansfield News-Mirror and their family members are also not eligible.

Send photos to arogers@mansfieldnewsmirror.com. Include the name, phone number and address of the photographer, and information about the photo’s subject and names of everyone in the photograph.
