Grapevine/Colleyville Heritage loses to Coppell

The Grapevine/Colleyville Heritage varsity hockey team lost to Coppell by a score of 8-2 on Thursday night at the Euless Green Arena.

Coppell took a 4-0 lead into the second period of the game, before the varsity team scored at the 5:57 mark of the second period on an unassisted goal from Andrea Monhollen.

Coppell scored three more unanswered goals before the end of the second, and led 7-1 heading into the third period.

Grapevine/Colleyville Heritage scored in the 11th minute of the third period on a goal from Scotty Edwards, with an assist from Brandon Caressimo.

Grapevine/Colleyville Heritage will play Carroll at 7 p.m. on June 5 at the Euless Green Arena.

Carroll JV wins in shoot out

The Carroll JV hockey team defeated the Mid Cities JV 2-1 in a shoot out on Sunday afternoon at the Euless Green Arena.

Following a scoreless first period, it was the Dragons that drew first blood in the game, scoring at the 11:19 mark of the second period on a goal from Zach Marso.

Sam Marso picked up the assist on the goal.

Mid Cities came back in the third period and tied the game up, sending it to overtime, where it remained tied at one heading into a shoot out.

Peter Adams and James Gibson both scored in the shoot out for the Dragons to get the victory.

Lucas Brolley stopped 14 of 15 shots on goal in the game for Carroll.

The Dragons JV squad will next play Highland Park at 7:15 p.m. on Sunday at the FB Miller Arena.

Carroll varsity defeats Denton County

The Carroll varsity hockey team defeated Denton County 11-5 on Thursday night at the FB Miller Arena.

Ben Bledsoe and Blake Taylor scored two goals each in the game, while Jeff Rucci, Luke Peddicord, Michael Walsh, Tyler Culp, Tyler Hamilton, David Driggs, and Ryan Sorge all scored a goal each for Carroll in the game.

Hamilton had two assists in the game, and Harrison Bonney, Driggs, Peddicord, Sorge, Bledsoe and Louie Gaurino each earned an assist a piece.
