The Annetta Cemetery is the final resting place for more than 50 veterans. Most of them were not honored with a flag on this Memorial Day.

These seven are among those who fought for your freedom:

• Elmer Jackson Saulter, US Coast Guard

• Weldon R. Allen, 1st Sgt, US Marine Corps, Vietnam

• Freddie L. Jones, A1C, US Air Force, Vietnam

• Jack E. Cronkite, PFC, US Army, Korea

• Charles E. Williams, S1, US Navy, World War II

• Fredna Berl Haddock, PFC, US Army Air Forces, World War II

• Grover C. Ellison, PFC, CO K, 144 Infantry, World War I

Don’t you think these veterans should be honored with a flag on Memorial Day? We should do better than this.
