NTE ramps, frontage road closures are on/off

Several ramps and frontage roads along Airport Freeway will be closed as necessary while crews lay pavement. The work and closures may be postponed by weather, so check www.northtarrantexpress.com/laneclosures.asp for current information.

The Murphy Drive on ramp to westbound Texas 121/183 will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily through Friday. Traffic will detour to the Central Drive ramp.

The Bedford Road on ramp to eastbound Texas 121/183 and the eastbound frontage road from just east of Brown Trail will be closed from Thursday through June 6. Drivers must take the previous entrance at Brown Trail.

The eastbound Texas 121/183 offramp to Murphy Drive/Westpark Way and the Central Drive on ramp to Texas 121/183 will be closed for an unspecified time Thursday. Drivers leaving Airport Freeway must take the previous exit at Central Drive. Drivers entering the freeway must take the next entrance at Westpark Way.

The eastbound Texas 183 offramp to Industrial Boulevard will be closed for an unspecified time Thursday and Friday. Drivers must take the next exit at Ector Drive.

The westbound Texas 121/183 on ramp from Precinct Line Road will be closed from 9 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday. Drivers must take the next entrance at Bedford Euless Road.

The eastbound Texas 121/183 offramp to Central Drive will be closed from Friday until June 6. Drivers must take the next exit at Murphy Drive/Westpark Way.

This is part of the $2.5 billion North Tarrant Express project that is replacing main lanes and frontage roads and adding toll lanes along 13.5 miles of Northeast Loop 820 and Airport Freeway from Interstate 35W to Industrial Boulevard. The project should be completed before year’s end.
