TCU baseball season-ticket holders have until 5 p.m. Wednesday to purchase tickets for the Fort Worth Regional, which begins Friday at Lupton Stadium. All seats are reserved.

Tickets will initially be sold as all-session packages, which includes tickets to each game with a possible maximum of seven games.

All-session prices are $60 for adults and $45 for ages 3-17.

If all-session packages remain, they will be available to the general public beginning at 8 a.m. Thursday morning.

Fans can call 817-257-3764 to purchase tickets.

If tickets remain before the first game at 2:30 p.m. Friday, tickets will be $20 and $15 for each game.

Standing room only will be available on the grass hill down the first base line. These SRO tickets will only be sold after all reserved seats have been sold at $15 each.

Big 12 meetings

Big 12 officials begin their spring meetings Wednesday in Irving, with the three-day session to culminate with Friday’s distribution of proceeds from the 2013-14 school year.

The league’s eight long-term members earned $22 million in revenues last year, with newcomers TCU and West Virginia each collecting a 50 percent share ($11 million), per their agreement to join the league.

TCU and West Virginia will receive a 67 percent share of league revenues this year, their second as conference members.

Wednesday’s sessions include meetings for Big 12 athletic directors, faculty representatives and senior women’s administrators.

NCAA golf

Alabama will attempt to defend its NCAA men’s golf championship when it faces Oklahoma State in the final match of the team competition at Prairie Dunes in Hutchinson, Kan.

The second-seeded Crimson Tide beat SMU in the quarterfinals Tuesday, and then rolled to a 4-1 victory over LSU in the semifinals.

Meanwhile, Oklahoma State topped Georgia Tech to reach the semifinals, where the Cowboys upset top-seeded Stanford 3-2 to reach the championship.

Alabama reached Wednesday’s final for the third straight year. The Crimson Tide lost 3-2 to Texas in 2012 at Riviera Country Club near Los Angeles, and beat Illinois 4-1 in last year’s final at the Capital City Club in Atlanta.

K-State grants release

Kansas State has granted a release to women’s basketball player Leticia Romero after amending its transfer policy, ending an embarrassing spat that had generated national attention.

The school said that Romero will be allowed to transfer to any school outside the Big 12 after the Athletics Board of Directors approved the policy change.

Romero, who led the Wildcats in scoring as a freshman, had been seeking to transfer after coach Deb Patterson was fired. The school denied her request amid concerns that members of the previous staff were trying to persuade her to follow them to another school.

An appeals committee upheld the decision, and pundits ranging from Dick Vitale to fellow college basketball analyst Jay Bilas took to Twitter in Romero’s support.
