Maxim Management Group, a regional leader in specialty healthcare management, will break ground Thursday on the first free-standing inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Weatherford.

The 27,000-square-foot hospital, expected to open in the first quarter of 2015, will add 26 beds to the network of inpatient rehabilitation facilities throughout Texas and Louisiana owned and operated by Maxim.

“We are excited to be bringing a state-of-the-art inpatient rehabilitation hospital to Weatherford,” Maxim CEO Mark J. Harris said in a statement. “Patients had to travel to Fort Worth for this type of care in the past, so there was a great need for a local facility like this, especially with the growing population of seniors.”

Weatherford Rehabilitation Hospital, at 703 Eureka St., the site of the former Parker County American Legion. will offer patients comprehensive medical rehabilitation services including physical, occupational, respiratory and speech therapy. Patients will also receive care for conditions such as a stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury and amputation. The independent hospital will offer private rooms, a dining area, a large therapy gym and 24-hour nursing care.

The hospital will have 120 people on staff. Job interviews will begin this summer. For more information or to apply, email
